We had amazing studies together and I learned so much from her humility and example of faith. She finished my training and I am so thankful for her. :) We served in Birmingham so it was a lot less country. Well it was still country but less racist. Because it was in the city. We served in the area where the Temple is built.
It was in this area that an office sister, Sis Dunbar contacted me about having to re-apply for my NZ Visa. This being the third time I would apply. I felt discouraged and lacked faith. But God really had a plan. He blessed me to be in a ward where there happened to be a doctor who did all of my medical work free of charge. It was a major miracle. On our last Sunday together, though it was in June, we celebrated Christmas together. We truly became sisters in Christ.
I had the blessing of flying to New Zealand with the Becksteads. They are such a Beautiful Couple.
I love Alabama. I love the sweet people and the sweet pecan pie. I love the southern accents. I learned that Southern Hospitality is a real thing. And the God is very much alive in the lives and hearts of the people of the South. I love you ALABAMA!! ROLL TIDE!!
