As a full time missionary, I received my first companion in the Missionary Training Center: Sister Michaels from Solomon Islands. Her sweet smile and humility taught me volumes of the pure love of Christ. English was her second language, we had a difficult time communicating, but we had an amazing time learning together. She served in the Suva Fiji mission.
I was a solo sister, and spent most of my MTC days in a district/classroom with a bunch of elders. Many of them I still keep in contact with. The became like true brothers to me.

We had a blast learning Samoan together. Our teachers were Sturgess and Tali. They taught us so much. At times it was difficult spending 9 weeks in the MTC, but we saw miracles. I will never forget the first time I bore my testimony in Samoan. I couldn't believe it. Heavenly Father humbled me so much in the MTC.The training center is a beautiful place. Though sometimes were difficult and I would not trade my experience for anything.
A bunch of us were able to try out to sing and perform at a Sunday devotional. We sang "Brightly Beams our Fathers Mercy :) How true and how powerful those words ring.
We cried as we departed, for we truly became a family..But continuing to write these brothers of mine on the mission blessed me with endurance, faith and encouragement.
